The way in which we learn,
access, share and manage information is changing rapidly. There is
an increasing need for students
to access external
learning content, collaborate with others in their
educational pathway, and be proficient with the use of computer technologies. As
a school we have a responsibility to prepare our young people for the future
world that they enter.
This is why we strive to create an engaging and creative learning environment where resources and information can be easily accessed to maximise the learning potential of your child.
To support this environment, we have engaged in the Department of Education endorsed, BYOx Program. This program will enable students to use their privately owned devices to access school email, learning applications, printers and shared network drives at school. Ensuring seamless access to class resources and materials on and off campus.
From 2026, all Year 7, 10, 11 and 12 students will be required to participate in the BYOx program. Students in these year levels will be required to bring their enrolled laptop to school each day to facilitate a blend of traditional and digital learning.
Students using their own device will be:
Accessing lesson material, assessment in a dedicated, collaborative working spaces that can be used to collate notes, conduct research and enhance online learning.
Using software and processes that are consistent with industry practice, preparing our learners for career development and the workforce.
During school hours, have the opportunity to receive feedback on learning and assessment from teachers in a platform that allows them to easily edit and resubmit work.
Able to access resources whenever - No waiting for shared resources like a school computer lab to be free. Students will be able to pick up where they left off from home.
BYOx Program - All other Year Levels
Students in other year levels may bring a device to support their learning once their parent/caregiver has signed the BYOx Student Charter.
