The Leadership Training Centre (LTC) is a ropes focused challenge environment based out of Bundamba State Secondary College that is unique to Ipswich and the surrounding region.
It features climbing and adventure activities such as:
- Indoor rock climbing
- Bouldering
- High ropes
- Internal & external abseiling
- Leap of faith
- Internal caving system
- Vertical apparatus for individual and team challenges
The staff are qualified in rock climbing, vertical rescue, challenges, high ropes and abseiling on both natural and artificial surfaces. The gym is maintained to the highest safety standards in Australia and is assessed regularly.
The climbing walls range from five meters up to ten meters in height. The climbing and bouldering routes are designed for a wide range of climbing abilities (including beginner) and styles which are constantly evolving. The climbing routes are established by professional route setters from Pinnacle Sports and change on a regular basis to keep you on your toes.
This facility is intrinsically interesting and caters for beginner to experienced adventurers. In addition to the permanent fixtures, our enthusiastic team are experienced in facilitating team building, leadership, confidence as well as complementary physical and psychological exercises.
In the challenge environment safety is paramount. Staff demonstrate and instruct climbers using the highest safety standards and model excellent communication and cooperation skills. The LTC'S motto 'challenge by choice' aims to inspire individuals to strive for new personal bests and experience mastery, both of physical challenges and sometimes even their own fears.
