Why choose our school?

Our community of Bundamba is rich in its diversity and commitment and I feel privileged to work with the parents, community members, and staff who provide care for our students. Bundamba State Secondary College was opened in 1970 and has a proud history of academic, sporting and cultural achievement. We currently have an enrolment of approximately 800 students comprising a rich cultural mix with roughly 10% Indigenous students and 10% Pacifica students.

The values identified by Bundamba State Secondary College are qualities we consider to be worthwhile to develop in our College community.  Pride, Respect, Responsibility and Empowerment are a reflection of our highest priorities and form the basis of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Programme.

The strength of our College lies in the diversity of cultures represented and the inclusive nature of our curriculum programs. Both staff and students at the College are passionate about preserving and showcasing this diversity through events and activities such as our Academic Programme, NAIDOC week celebrations, the ANZAC Day ceremony, hosting international exchange visitors, our sporting programme (including our world class Leadership and Training Centre) and our commitment to the Performing Arts.
